Our hill truly packs a caloric punch

This simple 10-degree incline requires a combination of muscle fibers working together, including -
Slow-Twitch Type I
Fast-Twitch Type IIA
Fast-Twitch Type IIX or IIB
Type I, better known as slow-twitch fibers, are the body's primary method for less explosive, sustained movements and used while returning down our hill.
Type IIA fibers are what we call intermediate fibers. These are a blend between fast- and slow-twitch fibers. They have some aerobic capability, but not as much as the slow-twitch fibers, and they can fire more forcefully, but not quite as explosively as the fast-twitch fibers. These fibers get used during the entire workout.
Type IIX or IIB fibers are best known as fast-twitch muscle fibers. These are the muscle fibers primarily responsible for fast, explosive movements like sprinting and used while moving uphill quickly.
To ensure we target all of our muscles, we use movements like lunges, sled pushing, shuffles, walking/running backward or forward, jumping, crawling, skipping, etc.
These movements build muscular endurance and muscular strength throughout the fiber types due to all of the major muscle groups working harder to propel your body uphill and working just as hard to control your body when coming back down.
The slope of our hill targets the glutes, hamstrings, quadriceps, calves, core, upper body, allowing you to build more muscle by targeting multiple muscle groups all at once.
Our hill helps you build lean muscle, which burns extra calories for hours after your workout—what's known as afterburn. This concept is especially true with High-intensity strength training while using a hill.
Additional muscle changes your body composition, which helps shape your body and keep you healthy.
The hill improves coordination and balance and will help prevent injuries.
Muscle prevents the loss of lean body mass that happens from dieting and aging.
Using a hill strengthens bones and connective tissue along with muscles.
When everything is said-and-done, our hill gets you burning more calories while exercising and increases your calorie burn after exercise.
That's a - WIN-WIN!
